The crazy thing is that when they are done with high school--they often wished they would have gone on that family vacation. Lots of regrets!

I also blame coaches that are often young and are childless--they have no idea!

I am glad that you wrote about this--I too make many efforts to connect with my kids daily, weekly, and in a bigger way each month. With 2 in college it gets tricky but it is doable!
