I’m still on the fence about this.

I read the books and reread them to my kids. We talked about what it must have been like in the pioneer days.

She began writing the books 12 years after women were given the right to vote and before the civil rights movement. They no doubt accurately describe what it was too live in that time frame.

I don’t think writing will change much — it just may not be honored by an award.
