I get this. I’ve heard “don’t you have a TV in your house?” and other rather ignorant comments when it comes to the number of kids I have.

My kids caught onto this early and would make comments back — this is only half of us . . . counting cats and turtles left at home.

We still get comments . . . how much does it cost to feed everyone or how much toilet paper do you buy. What I know now is some people are curious, some people are uncouth, and some are remorseful at their choice to have only 1 or 2 kids.
