I feel this too! Sadly, my kids also feel it.

The other day I told my husband we should sell the house — it’s too big for me to manage and we don’t use half of it. Its a huge waste. He disagrees.

My little cabin on the lake — where we sometimes have running water — that part doesn’t even matter, it is our place to BE together. That I think is the secret.

When we ARE together as a unit the place doesn’t matter. Home transcends itself to where you are in that moment. (ok, now I do sound like a hippie mom :-)
