How many cups of potatoes in 5 pounds? is the blog post that will be my claim to fame.

That’s right — of all the amazing photos, recipes and videos I’ve made about cooking — the most popular is about how many cups of potatoes are in 5 pounds?

So my kids had this great idea for a series! I laughed — I mean, I had thought of that already but their excitement was affirming. I did want to write a cookbook. It was a dream. Then I realized that people don’t want to hear my ideas on eating with L.O.V.E. (local, organic, veggies, everyday). They just want to know how many people they can serve from five pounds.

You know what?

I’m OK with that. Each holiday I help out 1000’s of people with this question. At one point in my life I did want to be a famous cookbook author . . . but now, I just want everyone to have the information they need to create a mindful, sacred table.
