Could not agree MORE!!

For many years I read the kids books and stopped reading anything else … I felt stunted and uninformed.

I have 4 kids and it’s important to me that they read everyday. Some are better than others and if the only read the news in the Snapchat feed I’m almost ok with that BUT I will say that I’ve taught all my kids to read and that has been the most rewarding thing I’ve done as a human. My last kid has some challenges and didn’t read until he was 10!!!! Now I can’t get him to stop and I tear up when I hear him read out loud.

So many studies have shown the benefits of reading … I’ll stop now. Just know this post lit a fire in me!
